Bio4Circularity (B4C) Network has joined forces with Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg), the Interreg Baltic-funded project BALTIPLAST and the Baltic University Programme (BUP) to organise a three-day workshop for current Master’s and PhD students at BUP participating universities and other universities in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR).

Titled, “Young Researchers for a Plastic Free Baltic Sea Region”, the workshop aims to establish stronger connections between experts and young researchers from universities in the BSR, who are starting their research in the fields of circularity, environmental management, policies and plastic pollution.

In addition to co-creating the workshop, B4C Premium Members – Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry (LSIWC) – will also be organising individual workshops. Pavlo Lyshtva, TalTech, Estonia, will hold a session on ‘Impact assessments in BALTIPLAST project’, while Kristine Meile, LSIWC, Latvia, will hold a session titled, “Putting “bio” in plastics: from renewable feedstocks to advanced end-of-life management strategies”.
